True Things 2021
Really loved the cinematography, but the writing of the film didn’t keep up with it. Often couldn’t empathise with the main character and her choices, which made her hard to understand and a bit simple. Story had a lot of potential but I want (female) characters to be more complex, plssss!

Aftersun 2022
Went to see this film 3 times already. Oopsie floopsy a bit obsessed. What can I say, this film apparently moved me to my core cause it’s fkn deep, beautiful and ‘gelaagd’. The film resonates with me and I love how personal the story is to director Charlotte Wells. I think this deeply personal approach is reaching a deeper level of storytelling, which I admire. Wells really proved herself artistically with Aftersun, cannot wait for her next film.
