  Forrest Gump 1994

  Everything about this movie is genius! 

  I think the last time I watched it I was young and I didn’t fully understand half the historical references but adding Forrest into historical events is brilliant! 

  Tom Hanks plays Forrest in a way that would break your heart. The story is beautiful and full of complicated and lovely relationships, I especially love the story between Forrest and Lieutenant Dan. 

  Just an overall beautiful movie!

  Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025

  Honestly I went in with low expectations but this was sooo sooo good. 

  I’m normally skeptical when a movie is all about a person moving on but they actually did this in a way that made a lovely story. The fact that Bridget wasn’t ‘moving on’ but was just living made it work! 

  The focus on her eldest child’s feelings as well made this movie really quite sad, it didn’t just focus on the family from Bridget’s point of view…

  I am not a gothic/horror girl at all, but I really enjoyed this movie! 

  The acting was class, Lily Rose Depp really surprised me!! Willem Dafoe is brilliant as always I liked that his and Nicholas Holt’s characters had a kindness about them with Ellen! 

  The cinematography made me enjoy the whole gothic vibe! The dark scenes were done beautifully, especially the shadows and window scenes. 

  This is my first Eggers movie and I think he builds suspense so well, I spent the first hour with my hands over my eyes, but to be fair I might just be dramatic!
