The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part 2019
I am reading way too much into this but I didn’t like the fact that, in the first movie, the ending was that the kids were able to fully enjoy Dad’s hobby with Dad. In this movie, introducing the sister to the hobby resulted in a dystopian wastleland where the Dad has completely checked out. No more city...basement table is wiped clear. Dad is now the uninvolved bufoon who yells for his kids to just do as their mother says even though he doesn’t know what is going on. Mom is the bad guy and Dad is uninterested. Nice.
