The movie is very well accomplished despite falling a bit in the stereotype of an oscar bait movie. The movie lenght is overly stretched and i feel the time is not properly used with the right characters and relationship's ( for example lazlo’s relationship with Leslie could use some more fine tuning).
The main positive of this film is Adrien Brody performance that i feel is well deserved for the best actor oscar
The plot is honestly awful. Selena Gomez spanish is terrible. Whoever wrote the songs should be blacklisted from ever working on a movie again.
How this movie got 13 nominations for the oscars is beyond me…
At first i thought this movie rating could be explained by reviewbombing it but after watching im honestly suprised how it even has 2.2 rating at the time im writing this.
In conclusion dont waste 2 hours of your life watching this
I went to see Dune 2 with my expectations very high and Dennis Villeneuve still managed to surpass them.
From a stellar soundtrack to an amazing cinematography you feel completely immersed into the universe of Dune.
The performances from the whole cast are flawless and deserving of every inch of praise.
Overall Dune 2 is more than just a movie, its a whole experience and I can't wait to enjoy it again. Highly recommend
