I don’t know why when a director adapts what is typically considered one of the best books (Sci-fi at least) of all time, he feels the need to add his own boring and cliched love triangle sub-plot, and omit the amazing scheming, and predatory nature of Baron Harkonen, who is pretty much the best character in the book. Saw X 2023
Adding a bit of plot at the beginning was a nice and unique way to start a saw movie. That being said, the traps are a bit uninspired and don’t seem to be specific to the persons sins, which is a staple of the saw franchise. That being said, the traps are harder to watch than earlier movies, and the acting is pretty solid. I was expecting a little more given the really good reviews the movie has received, but it’s definitely in the top half of saw movies.
