  I can’t call it a perfect film but it hurts in all the right ways. I consider this film to be my first “indie movie.” I watched this movie when I was 13 and I rewatched it at 29. After all this time I still get something from it. The pain of youth, the pain of isolation, the pain of watching no one actually reading the room.   We need to stop risking giving money to chumps like Eggers and Aster. These 2 keep blowing it with their vanity projects. Northman I liked but was underwhelmed. This movie I disliked from beginning to end. It was sloppy. A waste.

  Nolan is sloppy because he’s an attempting real stunts but has a driving a story. I’ve come around to that being a brave act. Eggers has no excuses.
