The Substance 2024
Coralie fargeat is becoming a serious contender for favourite film makers. Revenge was already one of my favourite horror films and so I had big expectations for this and it did not disappoint.
This was EVERYTHING. Both a love letter to cinema and a scathing satire on Hollywood and addiction in the industry.
This was like black swan but instead of being for the dramatic theatre gays it was made for the gays who did drugs and went to parties 😂

I haven’t felt this mixed on a film in a while.
This film was strikingly beautiful and inventive and unlike anything I’d seen. An amalgamation of genres and styles. It was like a marvel movie meets a Cold War era movie.
