I saw this one in class and damn. He maybe wasn’t always the best dad but he did his best and apologized in the end. I think this Is a really good look at generation trauma in some way. Cecil just wanted to live his life and was scared. He was scared because the first time he stood up for himself and his mother his dad got murdered. He was scared to lose his son. This was an extremely good movie but damn It was emotional!
