In retrospect I shouldn't have watched this right after a much more serious film. It was fun but a lot of the comedy just didn't hit right for me. Keke Palmer and SZA were great but I couldn't stand to have a friend like the latter's character. Man was she annoying and constantly screwing things up. The blood donation scene was a bit much for me - simply too much blood!

Hard Truths 2024
One of those films that really makes you think. Ending was sort of abrupt but it worked. I really liked the little glimpses into the various people's lives. A great portrayal of depression and anxiety and how it can affect those around the sufferer. Honestly I felt so bad for Pansy's husband and son. I'd love to know a bit more about how she became the way she is. I appreciated the ray of hope that indicated that the son might find some happiness. Great acting by Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Overall I found the film be quite sad but I really liked the comedic moments peppered throughout.

A close friendship ruined due to kids being stupid. Very sad movie. I do think it could have been shortened because the last half hour or so kind of dragged and I was waiting for it to end.
Someone blew their nose at a very serious moment and it sounded like a loud squeak and we struggled to not burst out laughing.
Also when were leaving we were stuck behind a very slow old man, who didn't seem to notice us, so it took us ages to exit the cinema.Translated from by -
