Heart Eyes 2025
It’s really hard to have a bad opinion about a movie that has Mason Gooding as the lead. He and Olivia Holt make enjoyable, what *could* have been a garbage concept. They have great chemistry and play off each other well. HEK is also a fun addition to the roster of masked slashers. I look forward to the birth of a new franchise hopefully.
Also the lug wrench scene? IYKYK.

I really like when straight to streaming horror surprises me. This movie was so fun. While it may rely on some cheesy horror cliches- they feel niche and almost nostalgic. It was back to the future meets Scream. It’s a concept that almost shouldn't work but it does.

A Real Pain 2024
This movie is not for me.
Not because it is a bad movie.
It’s just not “my genre”
However Kieran Culkin is amazing as a free spirit who has been through more than it seems. There’s a turning point in the film that you realize- fuck, this is sad.
He’s witty, funny, brash and unexpectedly broken.
Truly one of the best roles he’s taken on.
Jesse Eisenberg plays Jesse Eisenberg. It’s not bad- just not new.
Pleasantly surprised by this film, though not likely one I’ll need to see again.
