A great piece about intent. About not having the right tools, but still trying to make things work. About finding hope in hopelessness. It’s raw, it has great suburban rhythm, clever little nudges and fantastic soundtracks!

Knowing 2009
Sometimes you just want to watch a movie about a natural disaster and some washed up academic with a wild theory who sees it coming. You fire that into ChatGPT and this is the outcome. It’s everything you hoped for with a thick layer of American cheddar on top for the cheesiness. It’s bad, but I want it.

Nosferatu 2024
Possibly the least sexy vampire film I have ever seen. In that sense truly original. Love flirting with obsession in vampiric intensity, however is a cliche that's becoming too dull. Now I am not suggesting every film needs to excel in originality, but when this dramatic pretentiousness is pretending a different outcome to the genre - and I see a lot are agreeing to that so maybe I am wrong - I am putting hopes on an original masterpiece and not just a cliche with the arrogance of being more than that.
On a vocal note I did like this Nosferatu-being. I'm all for lung-covid vamps.

My Bloody Valentine 1981
There’s not a lot that can beat smashing a pick axe into someone’s mouth and find it coming out through the eye socket pushing out an eyeball on the way. Happy valentine’s day all the way!
