I was well into the third act before I realized that was Harry Connick Jr. playing a crazed killer. He was surprisingly effective in this movie, but nothing can surpass the quietly menacing performance he delivers in Hope Floats.

Anyone But You 2023
I was tricked into thinking this was going to be like the romcoms of the 90s/early aughts but those were great movies that happened to be romantic and funny. This was not that sadly, but it was a decent, lighthearted movie. Seeing it in a packed theater felt like I was sharing a communal experience with the other women in the audience.
My main gripes were that so much of it was mumbled, I feel like I missed huge chunks…
