From the very beginning, the visuals strongly conveyed the contrast and mixing of contemporary society and the church through architecture and dress.
Each scene is laden with this contrast to create discomfort, elegance, and comedy. It is something I aesthetically enjoyed immensely and ties in well with the film's message.
Overall I think the film has a good message about acceptance in the church but delivers it without a great deal of grace. Which is a disappointment for how enjoyable the film was to watch.
