Indian filmmakers need to stop spending so much time on just setting up plots when it’s not even necessary or that deep. First 30 minutes could’ve been trimmed down to literally just 15 minutes. Literally the relationship of Ajith Kumar and Trisha could’ve been summarized in mere 10-15 mins but it goes on for 30 minutes! Get to the point and fuck off bruv. Decent movie though. Disliked the climax though. The mystery and main drama was very interesting.

Absolutely riveting! Each and every scene has been crafted with such detailing and such perfection that it becomes hard to take your eyes off the screen. Ritesh Shah is such a great writer man! Sardar Udham, Pink, Airlift and so many more films. I love Ritesh Shah so much. Freedom at Midnight is exceptional. Fucking beautiful stuff man. Shoutout to the production designer and the costume artist for transporting us to that era. The score was great too. Such an immersive and epic experience. Can’t recommend enough!

This is Ranbir’s Raging Bull. This is Ranbir’s Vaastav. Sandeep Vanga is the new age RGV (from his good era). My expectations were so high right from the announcement video. I was genuinely so hyped that I was literally expecting this to instantly become one of my all time favorites. Not an all timer YET, but still really good. I’d rather have unapologetic films like Animal instead of slowmo clones we keep getting. Really hope this brings in a new era and turns the mainstream landscape upside down.
