  A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night 2014

  I had no idea that this was a movie about a vampire — and I did not see it coming. I loved that. This movie is slow like honey in a way I wanted to savour the entire time. The way the black and white adds to that stillness and the play of light and shadow through out… yes reminds me of those classic Dracula shots in some moments. The music… *chefskiss* 
  The revenge! The solidarity!
  This movie leaves a lot of spaces to fill — not in a sloppy way — in an inviting way. In a - imgonnahavetowatchthisagain mind of way.

  One of those movies about love that is always beginning and ending, endlessly beautiful and devastating... about finite time and aging and all the ways that we are created again and and again through our relationships. Gosh.

  I thought the beginning was a bit slow but it picked up steam for me half way through. Thought the acting was great, the characters complex, the shots and pacing were beautiful and I thought there were some styles of filming that I'd never really seen before.

  Also this was the first movie I've seen that referenced the pandemic!!!! Weiiiiiird.
