Obviously could’ve used another hour of character/story development. Paul was nothing but a cone hardly pushing forward the plot and those Holtzman Shields were CRAZY…
But it’s Lynch. And it’s Dune.

This film will piss people off. However, I don’t think that is a negative thing. The reality of an immature college couple who are growing up is the subject matter here. Of course the audience is going to be angry. But that is a good thing. Whether happy or mad, the film got a reaction from you. That is the purpose of film.
