  “Sublime!”

  Serious notes: this has some of the funniest individual moments and gags I’ve seen in a while, and the acting is top notch. The message is smart, and Barbie’s emotional ending hits. But, it feels like the individual build up to that moment wasn’t there. The lack of individual character holds it back - in comparison, the movie’s strongest moments are when Barbie is escaping form Mattel with the mother and daughter. Their relationship could have propelled the movie…
