    The Electric State

‘The Electric State’ is Ridiculous. Ridiculous story, Ridiculous writing, Ridiculous Acting, Ridiculously bad visuals, and a Ridiculous budget. Just about every character here is a one-note caricature of a real person, with A-list actors left and right who all look they have no desire to be part of this film. The movie is a complete mess with regards to tone, as at times it tries to be this “Deep Sci-Fi epic that wants to tackle social issues such as discrimination…

Sleek, Sexy, and engaging , ‘Black Bag’ is another terrific entry from Soderbergh in the Big 2025. Fassbender and Blanchett’s chemistry oozes off the screen from the start. The movie boasts a sharp script full of twists and turns that only throws you little hints until an explosive 3rd act where all is revealed while making the most of its brief one and a half hour runtime. A really, really solid Spy Thriller that will benefit from multiple viewings! 88/100

‘Novocaine’ is really fun! Quaid continues to solidify himself as one of the best young actors in Hollywood at the moment with an electric performance here. The Movie has some great action sequences and is, for the most part, pretty hilarious. The story here isn’t anything special and the 3rd act drags just a little bit, but it doesn’t prevent ‘Novocaine’ from being relentless in its quirky and violent vision. A terrific ‘stuff-your-face with Popcorn’ flick! 79/100

    ★★★

‘Mickey 17’ is …..Fine. Being that it was one of my most anticipated films of the year I’d say just being “fine” is a bit of a disappointment. Pattinson is in top form here (no surprise) and most of the other performances are pretty solid (outside of Ruffalo), but the movie really stumbles in terms of its story. 4-6 different plot lines that seemingly have nothing to do with one another make for a pretty unfocused film that doesn’t really…
