This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
To me, the focus of this movie seemed to be Pia’s personal and familial growth, with some touches of a romantic storyline. Because it was so heavily advertised as a romantic comedy, I expected to see a deeper look at Pia and Charlie’s connection—how they met, how they fell, etc.
Despite this, the plot is very unique and it really captured the woes of modern dating. Simone Ashley was made for the genre and I hope to see her in similar roles.

so I always thought this was like a coming of age type movie about two friends on a fun little road trip. Very surprised by the plot but thoroughly enjoyed it. Bonus points for the lead investigator also cast as the lead investigator in National Treasure
