I love Jessie Buckley and Alex Garland, so I was let down by this. Thematically muddled but an interesting ending. An annoying feminist thing to say but — this just would have been so much better if written and directed by a woman. Lots of good stuff to work with but just seems inelegant and confusing in its execution.

I Love My Dad 2022
Really really good. Morosini can definitely direct. Patton Oswald is great as always. Funny subversive first two acts with a more saccharine third act that ties it all together well.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum 1966
I really enjoyed this. It has that charming 60s comedy vibe, à la Monty Python and The Producers.“Everybody Ought to Have a Maid” is one of the best musical numbers I’ve ever seen — music by Stephen Sondheim!! And it’s fun to see older Buster Keaton (in color and talking!).
