It is a very effective crime thriller, masterfully directed with a hint of David Fincher. Director Kiyoshi Kurosawa creates suspenseful scenes with an unorthodox exploration of the serial killer narrative.

I revisited the film for a third time and the mastery of every level continuously blows me away. From the actors, the director's vision, the impeccable cinematography, music and editing. The costume designer went on to work with Tim Burton and established a stellar career. There is no extra fluff in this film. Beautifully edited and a must-watch for every cinephile.

A very intimate and delicate portrayal or female support through a complex situation. The two leads are a breath of fresh air. Small gestures between the characters throughout the film speak louder than any words. Eliza Hittman is a director to watch. Her previous film Beach Rats features young Harris Dickinson and was also very special.
