Before Sunrise 1995
There’s something so incredibly genuine about the dialogue in this movie, as if it wasn’t scripted at all. And the chemistry between them both is so intense that at times it feels like they’re bonding more when they’re not speaking.
I can’t help but feel like I’m a part of this relationship and the longing feeling at the departure scene is just gut-wrenching.
“It’s like our time together is just ours. It’s our own creation. It must be like I’m in your dream and you’re in mine or something.”

The Zone of Interest 2023
Not much I can say that hasn’t been said but what a gut punch. There’s no protagonist for the viewer to conveniently replace themself with so we’re forced to see ourselves as the bystanders - complicit in the evil we choose to ignore.
Incredible sound mixing. The scene with the kids playfully screaming by the pool overlayed by screams of children in the camp (and not being able to differentiate) is just haunting.
Cinematography was simple but beautiful. Long slow paced shots with constant hints of the horrors behind the scene. Almost reminiscent of 2001 SO at times.
