There’s a lot to appreciate here from the aesthetics to the action concepts being the coolest thing imaginable. Like pretty girls in cute outfits killing things was made for men and the girlies but none of it really came together for me. It seemed like it tried to be a lot of things at once and never meshed too well. Dipping its toes into Cabaret, asylum horror and action and being pretty cool concepts separately. Like Zack buddy, stick to one thing pls. There was so much potential here.

Better Man 2024
Pleasantly surprised. Really good movie with great songs (aside from the rap parts of rock dj) with so many sets and performers. Genuinely was damn impressive. Not to mention that fuckin ape brawl near the end being the coolest thing ever

Whether it’s needing that much more motivation or thinking about what kind of art I want to make in the future, I always look to gurren lagann to show me that it can be done and how it’s done. Gurren lagann is my favorite anime of all time and being able to watch the final battle on the big screen was insanely special to me and something I am happy to have finally experienced.
