Transformers One 2024
Better on rewatch. A great tragic tale of the straying away of two friends with a common goal, where the means to the end and the approach they take when given the power to change their status quo ultimately separates them and creates a bigger enemy than what they could’ve ever imagined. Amazing, breathtaking animation, dynamic and creative visual action, great voice acting from the celebrity cast, and a fresh new plate to cleanse your palette after the trash that was Rise of the Beasts. Great movie.

Venom: The Last Dance 2024
Tom Hardy sounding high and drunk at the same time the whole movie, horrendous pacing with 10,000 new, vanilla, uninteresting characters with bad acting, a villain with little screen time, a pawn villain fake Xenomorph queen without any real narrative conflict with the protagonist, jokes that don’t land, moments that don’t add to the plot and only serve to give Venom screen time that the movie tries to excuse with a plot device, which is a sample of stupidity used…

Transformers: Age of Extinction 2014
Woohoo, a 2 hour and 30 minute movie with a pedophile boyfriend and a fake Megan Fox with no character, a half-baked “engineer” Texan dad character, 4 different plots, one with yet again another McGuffin, a tonally confused dad-daughter subplot, a Galvatron subplot that’s forced to connect to the main plot, which is Lockdown trying to catch Optimus Prime, which then collides with a McGuffin plot. On top of that, head ache after head ache of constant edit and explosion and action: much less innovative than the films predecessor, makes for a slog of a movie. Lockdown is the best part.
