Wicked 2024
This is my first experience with the Wicked phenomenon and even though this film follows all the beats of a post/marvel IP franchise (and the world is so clearly built backwards from the Hogwarts/Hogsmede/Diagonal Alley in Universal parks) I see why this has lasted as a story/property. It is a middling marvel film for the girls and gays.
The film comes a bit off the rails and slogs like these franchise films seem to do but it’s also charmingly strange.…

House of Gucci 2021
It’s very difficult to discern what aspects of this film are intended to be campy. The film feels a bit disjointed but is quite entertaining, maybe not always for the right reasons. The soundtrack has some pretty funny choices. Like an Italian cover of Smash Mouth’s hot Shrek single.
