The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975
Watched it in preparation for the local showing that my friends participate in, finally familiarized myself with the movie.
I enjoyed it a lot. The unabashed queerness, horniness, the genuine passion behind the satire of the whole thing. Fantastic.
I expected it to be much worse, not knowing I was getting into a project that knew itself to be full camp. The make up and the costume design is, while cheap at times, incredibly fun and often shows good artistry.…Translated from by -

Sadly not a piece I liked.
I knew I was getting into a thriller/horror flick with the premise of the two girls killing each other, yet it still felt shallow.
The first half of the movie was very enjoyable for me - the character build up of the two girls, the pent up frustrations and trauma, and the way the film was set up made me feel like it would be a fantastic bonding/trauma healing movie, even with the murderous…Translated from by -
I've Heard the Mermaids Singing 1987
Gorgeous little film.
The main highlights of the film were the photo-like composition, appropriate for a film about an amateur photographer, the cartoonish charm of the protagonist, queer sub-themes and a passing look at personal relationship to art creation.
The characters are charming and fun to observe. I found the Curator's character to be a little theatrical, which grew on me as I watched the movie - the whimsy of protagonist's perception helps both in contrast and contextualization.
