  I can’t call it a representation of feminism (as touched on by other reviews), but realistically, it might’ve not even been the film’s vision in the first place. It was terribly painful to watch and it made me very sad. I feel that we’ve come a long way (and hope we get much better) in effectively portraying feminism as women reclaiming their power from injustice and exploitation since the 70s.
