This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
this was really special. like ridiculous. she’s naive but wise, young but fearless, vulnerable but impenetrable. is Godwin’s intended experiment to see what would happen to a woman who is not battered down by societal constructs, fears of safety and sex and … men?
at every turn, they are powerless and she is powerful. she walks towards fear. she walks towards hope and love (not for man, for herself). thank you emma and all!
honourable shoutout to mark ruffalo who i totally underestimated (can hulk really pull this off?! yes)
second honourable shoutout to styling and instrumental play (what is that twang noise?!). textural mastery
Yeah. Had to go back. This time in IMAX. Props to Hans fucking Zimmer. Impeccable. Felt a little sick afterwards. In the best way.
