How to Survive a Marriage? 2024
for all of its sins, one thing’s for sure is this movie had one of the most beautiful shots of pesta batak I’ve seen so far, wow. And the comedy, when it’s not trying to normalise or romanticise the toxic behaviours are funny.
But as I said, this movie unfortunately left me feeling conflicted because of all the romanticising toxic behaviours that commonly happen between in laws and emotionally spoiled husbands in Batak families, and this is coming from a Batak…
