Sing Sing 2023
Those videotapes that played during the credits of the actors in the actual productions they performed in at Sing Sing made me cry. These men deserve the second chance they were given, you can see how these plays gave them something positive and wholesome.
This film is such a strong case for how important rehabilitation and support is for people in the prison system. (As well as how awful and corrupt the U.S. prison system is)

Wim Wenders you’ve done it again! And by “it”, I mean perfectly captured the beauty and complexity of being alive in a way that makes me sob.
A gorgeous film that will definitely stick with me for a long time. I could have watched Hirayama’s life for another 5 hours, as it was so lovingly captured and portrayed.
Now, I’m going to get my film camera and take pictures of the light flickering through the trees, and really appreciate this life!
Sidenote: Hirayama is the only person who can justifiably use the “I think I like this little life” TikTok trend.
