The Queen of My Dreams 2023
When I was processing with friends after watching, it was mentioned that this was a really satisfying film. The vibrancy and immersive experience of the shots, the imagination in the storytelling of Azra’s life and that of her mother’s, as well as the layers between comedy / fantasy / reality were so beautifully combined. It left us feeling the echoes of pain that live between generations. We felt the tender moments of connection and understanding when we see the humanity in our parents, often through witnessing their grief and pain too. I am so grateful for this story.

Truly such a beautiful experience to watch this. The narration, visuals, and collection of clips/pictures did so much for me! It felt enriching. One of my favorite things to watch when I want to evoke some real feeling in me.
