Let me start by saying one thing…this isn’t a Batman movie for everyone. Its not a superhero in the slightest and the general audiences who fell in love with the Marvel movies and Nolans’ Dark Knight trilogy will likely leave disappointed. This is a Batman movie for people who like a dark and gritty detective noir film. The Batman (2022) feels like a lost remnant of a genre that just doesn’t exist anymore.

Talk to Me is a character driven decent into hell.
At this stage into film history, possession films are a dime a dozen. They often have the same plot beats, same scares, same cookie cutter characters. Talk To Me borrows from cliché tropes but quickly abandons them. The movie sets up our expectations, leads us into the depths and then leaves us alone in the dark.

I’m so disappointed in Death of a Unicorn. This could’ve been a really fun and original creature feature. Instead it’s a retread of all the old tropes we seen thousands of times before. The movie plays like a cheap rip off of Jurassic Park.
None of the humor landed with me. I really hated every character. The cgi is terrible, which is a shame because the few scenes with practical effects are great. And I found it to be just….boring.
