The film borders absurdity while simultaneously telling a story of loneliness, writers block, and tragedy. One of my favorites in recent months.
"Chaplin" does a nice job of overviewing Charlie Chaplin's life from his birth in the late 1800s to his death in 1977, but ultimately feels a bit typical of a bipoc. What it does well is it's effectiveness at portraying the movie industry from silent films to talkies and the implications it had on Charlie's life and career.
