Aliens 1986
In first movie not being able to see what's chasing our characters was the element of thrill. Now you they dont hide the ugly faces and bodies of xenomorphs (of course advanced technology and animation helps). You can see them like marines and Ripley do and get freaked out with them.

Ridley Scott put a smile on mine and my friends face.
Best representetion of feudal structure of medieval France i've ever came across to in media. Almost useable for educational reasons. But aside from that it offers an appealing story that was based on historical events(dont know how accurate it is) . Only if it could be less predictable at some scenes (specifically ending) but it's not a big problem for this gem. Another thing i was fascinated about was realistic battle and duel scenes.
