This 1998 version of Nancy Meyers’s “The Parent Trap,” starring Lindsay Lohan is my favorite childhood movie, one that I continue to watch to this day as a woman in her twenties. The comedy and the feels of childhood are among my favorites. It’s a really feel good movie in my opinion and I love the approach that Hallie and Annie take with their curiosity in meeting the other parent that they never really knew much about when living with…

Call Me by Your Name 2017
This movie completely broke me. Like I had said of Gus Van Sant’s, “My Own Private Idaho,” this movie is such a well written but deeply heartbreaking story of a somewhat unrequited love especially of an LGBT romance. Like River of Mike, Timothée portrays Elio in a very heartfelt, personal and emotional way, in my opinion. It hurts to fall in love with someone and yet, not being able to be with them or them with you.

The Thing Called Love 1993
As being a huge fan of River and this being his last movie, I felt he did a great job of playing country singer, James Wright. Honestly, I don’t like country music but had watched despite the fact in honor of River.

Martha Plimpton’s acting approach and acting in general is literally flawless in this film especially. I wish that she was known as simply for her acting rather than her relation or her past relationship. It breaks my heart how underrated she is and she along with her amazing costars deserve an Oscar for such an emotionally giving acting performance. A quote I felt personally touched me as I related to it a lot was that she says to her costar and love interest, Jason Isaacs, “It’s just this terrible pain of wishing for a different past and I can’t let it control my life anymore 😭.”
