A little hard to rate this one. It wasn't bad, but I've seen many versions which are much better at this point. Also, the cut I watched was only about 63 minutes long for some reason. It cut out quite a few good sequences and the pacing is a bit odd, but there were still some decent moments.
Here's my ranking of all the adaptions of A Christmas Carol I've seen:
1. The Muppet Christmas Carol
2. The 1951 classic…
The gayest film of the 1960's (that I've seen). I dont know what's going on with Brando's accent here but i couldn't understand half the shit he was saying. I can handle a slow-paced movie but this was really unbearbly slow. Half of the running time is this Private Williams guy sneaking around like a creep and this feels 3 hours long (despite only being an hour and 48 minutes). The ending of the movie was pretty unintentionally (?) hilarious, though.
A few interesting ideas but executed pretty badly. Still Marlon Brando falling off a horse twice has got to count for something.
