Surreal with a clear love for the countryside. I liked most the visions of pagan rituals and homosexual urges. I honestly didn’t really understand the stuff with classical music, but i found i resonated with the musings on the village and old religion. I’m usually not a fan of films that spend a lot of time philosophising, but the lefty writer was great and the protagonists father offered a perspective…

Slow paced film about the internet, ghosts and suicide. Some very eerie scenes, the use of early internet sound effects and visual effects really add to the ghost theme. Terrifyingly accurate warning about the effects of computers on the mental health and loneliness of a population. The slow, dark shots of ghosts partially hidden in otherwise dull rooms helps maintain a very high tension throughout, and can cause you to see things that aren’t really there. The scene with the ghost in the factory really stuck with me. ‘Death is eternal loneliness’
