I don’t think it was necessarily a bad film, but it’s just wasn’t the film that the critics and advertising was claiming it was. There are hints of silence of the lambs with the new fbi agent finding her legs, and just a little hint of zodiac with the cypher, but the issue is, it does not compare favourably to any film that does something similar. This just leaves you wishing you were watching an episode of mindhunters or criminal minds … I’d probably advise you just do that tbh
