Reclaiming Amy? Where is Amy in this doc? She feels absent.
This is the generic 'drugs, trauma and tears' narrative you've seen a hundred times before. She is depicted as this angsty, hedonistic teen one minute... then the next, they portray her as a helpless victim. There is no mention of the Amy, the individual. Amy, the friend. Amy, the artist.
From a filmmaking point of view, this feels very disjointed and the pacing is incredibly slow. Someone with a brain should have axed this before it went to broadcast.
