Thoroughly informative, entertaining and with an excellent footage corpus, this 2-hour documentary finely tells a story that's more infamous than Cleopatra itself - and that's quite a feat.

Cleopatra 1963
An immense exercise in excess on every conceivable level, Cleopatra is a lavish historical epic with excellent production values and competent direction, even if it sometimes buckles under its own weight. 4 hours in one sitting is definitely a chore, but the film earns its stripes by not being as heavy on the soapy melodrama as other similarly-themed films. It hardly goes down as one of the best films of all time, but it's on the podium of the most visually stunning and artistically ambitious ones.

The Aristocats 1970
Although it contains some racist stereotypes which have aged questionably (i. e. an Asian-coded cat playing the piano with chopsticks), The Aristocats is groovy, fun and easy on the eyes, in addition to having some hilarious scenes featuring a couple of dogs and another of geese.

Wake up Vassili 1969
It's a miracle how this sly piece of social satire passed censorship under the Greek dictatorship of the late-60/early-70s, but Ξύπνα Βασίλη is a funny film with an always-relevant message about how social status and money can provide people with a false sense of safety, even if its formula is a little too familiar for Greek audiences. All in all, act your wage, people!
