shocked by how much i loved this. bridget jones is great but i was expecting another shit cash grab sequel. but this film ends up being really moving while exploring bridget’s grief and direction in life. would be lying if i said i didn’t tear up. it also manages to stay funny and current. all of the returning characters and new characters are great. the experience was also improved by the two old ladies sitting beside me who cackled at every joke especially the dirty ones
