  Roger Ebert once said something to the effect that the worst sin a film can commit is to allow the audience to imagine a more interesting story than the one they’re watching. The second half of the second half of this film becomes a weirder story than what the audience would probably imagine. And the epilogue of the film only further confuses me on the intentions and decisions of the filmmakers.
