so I finally got around to watching this movie and I'm thoroughly disappointed. I love all things witchy. seeing a movie full of nature-connected women sounds like a great time to me! so can someone explain to me why there was so much screen time wasted on men?? you're telling me that in a family full of witches, every single woman was in love with a man??? A MAN?? not a single queer woman in sight.

it's a period piece so you know i was here for it and instantly watched it. but, i was slightly disappointed in it. maybe it was my optimism about it being good in 2022 (when every movie that comes out is cringe) but i really expected more from it. my mistake probably. anywho, it wasn't the worst thing I've seen but definitely not the best.

my favorite movie of all time. no faults. except for you know, the minor moments of sexism. "can men and women really be friends?" um, yes. yes they can. other than that, cute ass movie with Christmas in New York. what's better than that?
