  si un film se puede calificar al mismo tiempo de independiente, ciencia ficción, fantasía, misterio, drama personal y existencial y tantas otras clasificaciones, hay posibilidades de que sea un pastiche armado por un cineasta presuntuoso. y The Nines definitivamente no lo es.

  por el contrario, de forma modesta y casi tímida nos interroga "¿esto es todo?". pregunta engañosamente sencilla, pero que puede ser leída de muchas maneras, cada una más trascendente que la otra.

  even funnier and much better than I remembered when I watched it on public TV, a lifetime ago.

  vanilla body horror by extracting tracking bugs from your flesh? taking a red pill to go back to the real world... or not? Matrix owes one or two things to Total Recall.

  little detail that I loved: even in a dystopic, hyper-capitalistic future, someone can matter-of-factly ask Schwarzenegger's character what his sexual orientation is. 1990. you also get 3-tits, mutant prostitutes. well, baby steps.
