took me back to cambridge/somerville suburbia, even though this film was made 20 years ago. pemberton farms was recognizable immediately, and the furniture and apartment interiors felt exactly the same as present day allston and somerville housing. couldn't recognize any of the diners but the decor was also similar. it's interesting how the monotony, boredom, and aimlessness i felt as a college student that i attributed to life in somerville/cambridge isn't much different to the past.
