The Brutalist 2024
I give two stars because in truth I would have loved this movie 5 years ago. It baffles me that a movie so blatantly zionist was released at a time like this. As a story of an immigrant, it's beautiful and an instant 4 stars. As soon as the thesis statement is introduced in the last 30 minutes, The films larger intentions just leave me with an icky feeling.

Nosferatu is a gorgeous adaptation. The cinematography and aesthetic is to die for. It's feminist messaging and take on the source material subtitling adds a lot to the original film and novel. There is a part of me that wanted more or a grander statement at the end. But that's solely to be able to live in this world a little more
