  One of my personal favorite action movies ever made. Imagine a Departed-esc gangster film mixed with some of the most brutal martial arts fight choreography you've ever seen in a movie. Seriously I haven't seen a action movie this memorable in a while. There's literally a scene that cross-cuts between a guy beating the shit out of people with a metal bat and a woman killing people with dual-wielded hammers in a subway train. The fights are so intricate and well put together, they're violent but they still feel grounded and realistic. The first movie is good too but this is on another level for me.

  One of the best Nic Cage movies, he was honestly a really good fit in this role. It's surreal at times and really heartbreaking too as this man's life is slowly destroyed by something he has no control over.
