A clear and devastating work of art, that manages to transform nostalgic imagery into something so haunting and suffocating, a Twin Peaks The Return nightmare in it’s entire form. Filled with brave performances and some of the best usage of colors I have seen in a very long time. Such a monumental achievement, Jane Schoenbrun understands the cinematic art form like very few filmmakers working today. Absolutely incredible.
Not since Adventure Time has a show managed to captured the pure essence and joy of a large scale fantasy world like this for me.
