I understand why this was my mum's go-to VHS when she wanted us to chill out or when we were home sick from school. The art and the pacing are comforting, the story is fun and easy to follow, it's engaging without being overwhelming, it feels very much like a bedtime story. Between the mix of unfamiliar accents and my poor auditory processing, I don't think I understood a single word of this movie as a kid, but we have captions now so that's fine.
