Strange how suddenly the blood isn't concerning part way into the movie. The mum gets a violent scrub-down and turns her husband with her saliva, but the kid who gets absolutely doused doesn't even get his face wiped, and we'll weed-wack the massive group of zombies with a helicopter blade no problem.
Still fun though.

Watching this for the first time in 2025 knowing it kickstarted the whole zombie movie trend was a bit of a trip. I had no idea what to expect.
(As soon as I saw the "help" was a bunch of Lads™ I realised the kind of movie this had turned into...)
"This has never been filmed ... until now/before tonight"
"It's night and dark is falling."
"It's too dark to see ... but with this camera ..."
I understand it can be hard to have something to say all the time, but I would have rather just had the music than the redundant narration. A lot of work went into this though, and it was amazing to see the light sensitive cameras and thermal cameras and what they can do. Also the narrator did a good job with what she was given.
Can someone tell me why the deer faces actually look like lion faces?
Honestly though I did enjoy the relationship between the animals and the elves and the people. How people know animals can talk they just can't speak the language.
